How
To Turn On Utilities / Phone / Cable
After you set up your
utilities be sure to look for every bill each month. If you do not get a
utility, phone or cable bill and it has been well over a month, be sure to
call the company! Utility, phone and cable companies often make mistakes.
They may have forgotten to send you a bill. If so, your utility, phone or
cable will be shut off until you pay the bill (even if you never received
one in the mail). See Utilities

- Many
companies also have INTERNET hook-ups.
- Before
picking a long distance company, you should call each one and ask

that fits your needs. Look in the phone book under “Telephone” for a list
of long-distance companies (e.g. AT&T, Sprint, etc).
- You
will have to pay an installation fee for getting your phone hooked up.
This fee will appear on your first phone bill. (Ask the operator how
much the fee costs.)
- You
may need to put a deposit down on your service, but you will get this
back when you are finished using the phone company (as long as you
don’t owe money to Alltel).
