UNIFORM RESIDENTIAL LANDLORD & TENANT ACT

   
The city of Lexington uses the “Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act” (often abbreviated as Landlord Tenant Act) to govern all legal issues dealing with Renting. The Act is covered by KRS 383.505 – 383.715.

Keep in mind that the act is a legal document and it is hard to read.  The purpose of this Guide is to introduce the important and useful parts of this law in a readable fashion.
